While lifting a box with a strap on it, it broke causing me to literally punch myself in the nose. My fist hit my nose in an upward force in the area of the columella. It has been 1 week and I find it difficult to blow my nose normally and feels extremely bruised when wiping my nose left to right. Is it possible to fracture? Does time heal?
You could try a cold compress and saline nose drops but I'm surprised that you have not seen a doctor for this yet! Blowing the nose will not help and may make things worse; time might heal but if there has been a fracture in the septum you could end up with a chronic problem.
