Suggest Remedy For Sore Tongue And Throat Pain Post Flu Treatment

I had been sick with the flu and strep they gave me Tamiflu which worked well but found out I a allergic to amoxicillin. they then gave me a steroid to counteract with the breakout. now My tongue is sore and my throat hurts is there anything I can get over the counter to help?

Hello,

corticosteroids increase the risk for fungal infections. The sore tongue and throat might be the result of yeast infection. Your tongue may be white or bright red if you've got a yeast infection.

Clinical examination is enough for the identification of a yeast infection, so you'd better contact your doctor. I couldn't recommend antifungal treatment without confirmed diagnosis.
