Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat After Inhaling Hazardous Fumes During An Accident
recent fire in a small air conditioning unit, fire was extinguished and the unit was removed. additional ventilation methods have been implemented. still has burnt plastic smell in the room 5 days post. is there any ongoing health concerns with inhaling this? some people are reporting sore throats after spending time in the affected space
Thanks for your query , There is a lot of chances for developing sorethroat after exposure to Fumes that are inhaled by nasal passage . Fumes are toxic irritants that act on mucousal lining and will therefore leads to inflammation of mucous either in airway or eosophagus causing sorethroat and similar problems. Remedy is by taking NSAIDs and Anesthetic solution like Sucralfate-O as it lines the mucosa and NSAIDs will reduce inflammation of mucous layer. Always prevention is better than cure .
