Suggest Remedy For Skin Problem Under Eye

Had a bruise under the eye. After a few days it had dry flaky skin, which looked like a scab. The skin came off when rubbed with a towel but now the skin is a dark purple/red colour where the bruise/scab was. How can we help reduce the redness of the area and help the skin go back to normal, will this heal normally and not leave a mark?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of scab under eye, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Apply placentrax gel once at night for better healing.
4. Other treatment options are oral vitamin exercises, folic acid, oral antibiotics taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
