General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of gastric bypass surgery 6 years back, pain in abdomen for which upper GI endoscopy was done and 6 sutures and 3 staplers were pulled out. Over the weekend started having increased pain and nausea and the GI told that you have a bend in the small intestines 15 cm from the pouch. CT scan is normal.
I would advise you the following:
Get a review done by a Gastro Surgeon, a medical Gastroenterologist may not find something of surgical importance.
Barium study and if required Laparoscopy can give you the correct diagnosis and a plan for the treatment and Laparoscopy gives the advantage of diagnosis as well as therapy.
Till then have liquid diet only.
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position when you are in pain also gives the best possible diagnosis.

I find this answer helpful
