Suggest Remedy For Severe Vomiting After Alcohol Intake

I have had the worst hangover ive ever had today. I have been throwing up since this morning. A lot of it has been forced because I just wanted to get it out and a lot of stomach acid came out. I m feeling a little better but I feel like there is something stuck in my throat??? I can t get rid of it

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query severe vomiting after alcohol intake is because of alcohol induced gastritis which is very common after excessive alcohol intake. Inflammation of the stomach lining causes vomiting and restlessness. I would suggest you to take combination of proton pump inhibitor such as rantidine and anti emetic. You may need intraveinous fluid as otherwise there will be dehydration. You need vitamin B1 injections as well as it will overcome your symptoms. Visit general physician once and get it examined. If symptoms keeps on persisting go for upper GI endoscopy as well to check if any lesions present. Drink water with lemon juice to allow maximum fluid passage through urination as after that your symptoms will be released. Feeling of something in throat is nothing just accumulation of acidic bile. It will get cleared soon.
