Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In The Middle Of Back

2 days ago my latissimus dorsi (both sides of the middle of my back), sides, and abdominal muscles would contract every minute for about 5-10 seconds. After the first day the contractions stopped, but I have severe pain in the middle of my back. I tried to do stretches, but the pain is severe so I stopped. What could cause this, and should I be seen by my doctor because it could be something bad?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem can be due to injury to spine or muscle strain.A physical examination by an orthopedician will give clue for this and a X ray followed by MRI if needed will rule out this problem. In case of any fracture to spine immobilization by using corsets is necessary. If that is clear then i usually advise muscle relaxants like cyclobenzaprine, NSAIDs like Aceclofenac and neurotropic drugs in my patients with such cases.I advise a short period of rest followed by physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercise also.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
Thanks.
