Suggest Remedy For Severe Constipation

I was low on iron early this year and took slo fe and vitamin C for a couple of months. When I started to take two a day severe constipation started. I quit the iron and vitamin C and a ten year colonosopy was performed and no abnormality was found. The constipation has remained along with bright yellow urine. I have never been bothered with constipation my entire life and I turned 70 in August.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Constipation is common in elderly, due to limited fiber intake and also irregular meals.
2. As there is no pathology as revealed by colonoscopy, you need to see increase your fiber intake along with more fluids. Fruits with skin, vegetables, and whole grains are helpful.
3. Also need to have a good regular sleep Along with moderate exercise.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
