Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You should complete course of akt for prescribed duration. Radiological full recovery sometimes might not happen. Clinical improvement and sputum negative reports indicate akt is effective and there is no resistant tuberculosis bacilli. Fibrosis is irreversible from chronic inflammation and sometimes tiny fibrotic foci might not get cleared. Consult a pulmonologoist for examination with keeping all this in mind.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
