Suggest Remedy For Red Deep Unhealed Wound On Foot

Hi, I have a small cut on my foot, though it is small it is very deep. since i am out of porixide, i have rubbing alcohol but i am not sure how to apply it. the cut is red around the edges so i assume it will get infected if i dont do anything about it

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have a deep unhealed wound that is small but deep enough and that has red edges does not means that it is infected only and the redness can be due to inflammation secondary to soft tissue trauma..

But still to be on a safer side I would suggest you to start cleaning the wound with an antiseptic solution like Betadine..
You can apply a combination of creams containing a steroid and Triple antibiotic ointment..
You can also do cool compresses for reducing inflammation..
Do not let the area exposed to water as it can cause infection due to moisture..
You can isolate the area with a sterile bandage.

In case if it does not heal in a week to 10 days consult a Physician and get evaluated..
