Hi dear , I have gone through your question and i understand your concern.
Welcome to healthcare magic,
The severe inflammation has caused pigmentation, called post inflammatory
hyperpigmentation. It will take time to go off completely. You may apply a cream containing Kojic acid/
vitamin C twice a day. Sunscreen is important and has to be applied daily as sunlight exposure will make it worse.
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a moderately potent
topical steroid e.g
fluticasone propionate (Flutivate cream), twice daily to the hyperpigmented area for 2 weeks
or
Hydrocortisone 2.5% can also be used.
You make take antihistaminic tab.
Advice:-
I would also suggest not putting any creams on it. I suggest rinsing it with cold water to calm the skin, and gently patting the skin dry. Do this every time it starts to burn, and hopefully it will calm the skin enough to let it be covered with makeup.
you may also use ice to calm.
Apply a cooling lotion such as
aloe vera.
Lastly I’m more concerned about you rather than how you look tomorrow(your photographer and makeup artist should be able to cover it…suggest cover FX to your make up artist).
You can get an emergency appointment with a
dermatologist nearby if required.
Hope you find the answer helpful, please do get back for further queries I will be happy to assist you.
Take care.
Wishing your good health.
Regards
