Suggest Remedy For Red And Sore Lump At Injection Site

Ok- I use meth from time to time and got shot up on Monday about 8:00 PM.( maybe for the 8th time in my life) it was larger(.6) than I had ever had before(.4). I got the coughs and the rush. Then about a day and a half later, there is a lump just to the side of the injection site, the arm is sore. If you push down on the lump, it is sore. Where the lump is, it is red and somewhat warm. What should I do.

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain red and sore lump at the injection site occurs due to injury to the soft tissues caused by the pricking needle and it causes inflammation of the soft tissues and redness and lump formation are the signs of inflammation..

The lump occurs due to formation of inflammatory exudate as well as the redness and lump can also be due to pricking of the blood vessel causing spillage of blood into the soft tissues causing swelling and redness .

Soreness and warm feeling is also a sign of inflammation..

You can apply ice packs over the swelling..

Apply thrombophob gel..

For pain you can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..

Apply numbing gel over the lump in case of pain and discomfort..
