Suggest Remedy For Puffed Ear

Pain started above my ear 2 months ago, slowly moved down and behind the ear. Ear puffed out and was red. I couldn't and still can't put glasses on because of the pain. ENT said not mastoiditis (I had no fever) but gave me Antibiotic and steroids just incase. A week later I was at the emergency room with a severe head ache on one side. CT showed no visible problem. ER Dr. Suggested neurological??? A month later I still have pain all day all the time on one side only around the mastoid bone and occipital bone. I can't rest head on left side. Pain is constant and wakes me up at night. (I have used OT pain meds with little help from them)

are you diabetic??
Is the CT scan done,is of brain or temporal bone??
is there any discharge from ear?
I would like rule out malignant otitis externa, which is infection of ear canal caused by pseudomonas.
