Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tinnitus which isn't a condition itself but it's a symptom of an underlying condition, such as involvement of inner ear sometimes due to infection, head injury, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo certain medications, meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma and multiple sclerosis migraines. Need not to worry. You should apply warm compresses on ear. You should not touch or prick ear with any sharp object. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to find out exact cause. Doctor may order certain tests like audiological test, otoscopic examination and high and low pitched test . CT scan ,MRI can also be done to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. Doctor may prescribe tricyclic antidepressants , alprazolam and devices like hearing aids and masking devices.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
