I got hit by a car 3 years ago and I have migranes every day. I take medicine for it so they go away. Well I also have a twin that went to see neurology because she had migranes with a burning sensation in her nose. Well my nose started to burn 9 a.m. this morning when I bend over and lay down in bed. I talked to my mom about it but I d rather get a doctors opinion to see if I need to go to the emergency room. Please help?
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms may be related to a sinus infection.
The fact that your headaches worsen during bending over or laying dawn is very suggestive of a sinus infection.
A raised intracranial pressure can't be excluded based on this symptomatology.
Do you have any nasal discharge or nasal blockage? This would be another argument in favor of sinusitis.
I recommend you to consult with your GP for a physical exam, a sinus x ray study, a complete blood count and a sinus discharge culture to rule out a possible sinus infection.
A head CT scan may be needed to exclude possible intracranial cause (tumor, vessel malformation, etc), which could cause a raised intracranial pressure.
Hope to have been helpful!
