Suggest Remedy For Persistent Fever In Elderly With History Of Gout

My partner is a 65 year old male who has recently been diagnosed with gout. He s taking 300 mg of allopurinol which he began 2 weeks ago. He has been experiencing lower back pain and this afternoon began running a moderate fever of up to 102.8. He s taken 200 mg ibuprofen and 2 hours later, a couple of aspirin. He s feeling better, but still running a 102 fever. What should we do now? It s 7:50 Pacific Time. Wait until morning? ER? Other?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if fever is because of viral infection then it may take 4 to 5 days to come around till then better to get done routine blood test just to rule out the bacterial infection, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
