Suggest Remedy For Persistent Cough And Low Grade Fever

My 44 year old son has been diagnosed with type A flu. He has had it for 7 days now and coughing and running low grade fever. He has gone to urgent care twice and has taken fluids because he was so dehydrated. Should we take him to another doctor or wait it out

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

At this stage he may be able to wait it out if the symptoms at the moment are mainly low fever and cough symptoms.

The use of paracetamol and over the counter cough and cold medication would help with the fever and cough.
Cool fluids, dressing coolly (not bundling up) would also help.

I hope this helps
