Suggest Remedy For Persistent Cough And Chest Congestion With No Help From Medication

Hello,

My 2.5 year old son is having chest congestion and it is persistent because he is unable to cough it up to spit it and it isnt getting passed in his stools also. My doctor here has given a powder to dissolve the mucus in the chest but my son doesnt like it. His eating is fine only the persistent cough is bothering. Please help

The mucolytic, the agent his doctor provided to help break up the mucus in the chest, would help. If he is unable to tolerate the one given, his doctor can suggest another if others are available.

If there are no other options then you can try disguising or reducing the medication taste. For example , the use of juice, chocolate or some sweet after may help
