General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
You must consult a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment if you have a painful soft lump in your rectum. Depending on the underlying cause, treatment options may include medication, such as anti-inflammatory drugs or antibiotics, or a procedure, such as removal of the lump or abscessdrainage.
In some cases, lifestyle changes or dietary adjustments may also be recommended to prevent the recurrence of the lump. In all cases, following the advice and treatment plan recommended by your healthcare professional is essential.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
