Hello. Thank you for writing to us

You seem to have inflammatory acne. Inflammatory acne are usually red, itchy and painful.
Oral antiacne antibiotics e.g either doxycycline, minocycline, azithromycin etc should definitely be considered for your kind of acne severity.
Oral antibiotics can be continued for 4- 12 weeks depending on the severity and response to treatment.
Topical antiacne preparations like clindamycin 1%gel or benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel may also be used during day time.
For night application I would suggest you to use a topical retinoid e.g adapalene gel 0.1%.
Topical retinoids are antiinflammatory as well as antibacterial and therefore are first line choices in topical treatment.
On account of comedolytic properties topical retinoids also prevent new acne formation if used as a maintenance therapy.
I suggest that you visit a dermatologist for a proper assessment of the severity of your acne and treatment accordingly.
You may also opt for a few sessions of salicylic acid chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist.

Regards
