Suggest Remedy For Painful Bruise On The Hip From A Fall
I slipped and fell walking down some wooden stairs and landed my buttocks directly on the corner of a stair, and now I have a huge black bruise on my buttocks and it hurts when I walk... I have been putting ice packs on it and I took a couple of advil, is there anything else I should be doing?

The black colored bruise is due to hematoma formation or collection of blood in the soft tissues after injury.
The bruise will resolve in 7-10 days.
Associated pain will resolve with pain killers and hot fomentation.
walking will be painful initially but rest, pain killers and hot fomentation will help.
