Dear Doctor, I had a Vericocelectomy in January this year but the pain in my left testicles hasn't appeared to have subsided since the op and I recently very stupidly have unprotected gay anal sex with 3 different guys, (I realise how idiotic that was) And now about 3 weeks later I have noticed the lymph nodes just on my left groin area are swollen i went to the doctors and he said there are actually two swollen nodes there and referred me to the GUM clinic for a Chlamydia test. I am just frightened as I looked up swollen lymph nodes on the internet and apparently this links in with HIV? i have pain in the left tesicle that may be due to the Varicocele and the tip of the penis appears to be red/tender and slightly itchy from time to time....I am soo freaked out at the moment, could you help me please??
Possibily the varicocele operation didnot went well or any new symptoms has arised with i the scrotum / testis.Sugget to get an ultrasound examination scrotum to see the ststus of the testicles, blood supply, chord condition, venous channes ( weather dilated), and treat accordingly.
At the same time groin ultrasound for the lymph nodes and FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology to asess the cells and get treated accordingly. Good luck.
