General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to hcm.
since its just been four days since you have started exercising hence the pain is due to sore muscles . Kindly apply local analgesc gels like diclofenac gel and take rest. Use a rubbery disc which cushions your knee.

Donot overdo exercising . Whenever you exercise, the intensity of exercises should be increased gradually over a period of time . Sudden stressful exercises can lead to soreness and muscle pull causing severe pain.

Regards,
Dr,.Riyanka
