Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an open surgery of ruptured appendicitis in September 2014. after four months of operation i felt pain in my lower abdomen on both sides of the tummy. In June 2015 i got my CT scan and found sub centimeter lymph nodes in mesentary and illiac fossa due to the surgery. i have taken medicine by gaestro entologist but no relief and also consulted with the heamatologist who said these nodes are insignificant and just gave me pain killer. It is been many months i still have pain and cannot lie on my left side cannot even sit on floor for long time. Please answer
Hi, You may have persistent infection in your abdomen. Even after appendicectomy was done one year back and now you are getting symptoms, it is suggestive of infection. Try one course of Tab. Oflaxacin + ornidazole combination, twice daily for 5 days after food.
When the pain persists, consult a surgical gastroentrologist. A biopsy of the Lymphnode may be needed to find out the cause of the enlargement
