Suggest Remedy For Pain Behind Knee

Hello, I am stuck as to what to do next. Injured my knee approx 4 months ago, had two MRI s and an Ultrasound which shows nothing. The pain is behind my knee, and is worse upon full flexion, and often times feels unstable. I have been on meloxicam for 3-4 weeks with mild relief. I also got a cortizone shot, as well as did a 6 day steroidal dose pill pack. I read about a PCL injury, but wouldn t the MRI have picked that up ?? Please advise/help ???

Hello,

I have studied your case.

As per your age and history there is possibility of soft tissue injury in knee.
Most commonly meniscus injury occurs.
And MRI may miss meniscus tear, diagnostic arthroscopy can help and cure the problem.
PCL injury can better be judged on arthroscopy.
As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .

Small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS.
Meniscus injury can be managed by arthroscopic repair, and same day you can go home.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
