Hey there !..Actually I got hurt in my right leg s thumb yesterday, and it pains a bit now, specially in the evenings. The thumb has also swollen up a little. I washed it with warm water and some antiseptic liquid, and found that some part of the thumb under the nail has got white and that part pains the most. What should I do? ..Haven t applied any oinment yet. No injuries from outside but slight injury is visible inside the nail. Should I apply something? Please help..It has started to pain already!!!

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic . After going through your query I think you require radiograph of foot to exclude any fracture. If there is no fracture you need rest, analgesics , ice fomentation ,and elevation of leg for some days. Hope your query has been answered . Thanks .
