I'm quite worried. I think I might possibly have something similar to an STD, although I don't think it's sexually transmitted. First of all, I have been in Italy for about three months on exchange, I'm almost 17, and I've been experiencing a lot of discomfort. First of all I thought I may have scratched myself, as the pain was located above the vaginal opening on the stretch of skin. I found that whenever I did sort of stretch it to see what I could find, I think I could see a light red line that could have been a scratch, but other than that nothing. This caused me pain for about a month straight and I didn't really know if there was anything to do for it seeing as I believed it was a scratch. I still think I do. Anyway, so the pain stopped about a week or two ago, and everything has been fine. But, a few days ago I noticed that there was something different. I was getting a little more pain and discomfort again, but I looked and I couldn't see anything. Then I looked again the next day, and in the opening of my vagina there were largish bits of skin or something coming out. It definitely doesn't feel normal. I have been trying to look up what it might be, but I haven't found anything that is even slightly similar. I don't have herpes, as far as I can tell it isn't warts. The only thing I can really see it being is my hymen.. Although its grown? Now my hymen has been broken for a long time, I think through sport initially. Anyway, the only way that I can describe what it looks like is as though there is something coming out of my vagina. And I have never seen it before. It looks sort of lumpy and is usually covered in a tiny bit of discharge (I think it gets caught..). And so, I am really freaking out because I have no idea what is wrong and it's uncomfortable and its attacking my self esteem.
Please help?
