Suggest Remedy For Overdose Of Entamizole DS

Hello Sir I was suffering of diarrhea and went to a Doctor, after test I was told that I have amoeba so Doctor recommended me to take Entamizol DS (1 tablet thrice daily for 5 days) After 5 days I was still not feeling well so I continued the tablets for 5 more days...now it has caused flatulence and mild gastrointestinal disturbance in me. Can you please recommend me what to do to treat the overdose of Entamizol DS?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
From your post, it is actually not the overdose of medication, but is prolonged use of the drug beyond the specified period.
Yes, even prolonged use of it causes GI disturbances, as you have experienced.
All you need to do is drink more water. Take plenty of fluids and fruit juices. Keep well hydrated. This will help to flush out excess drug faster. Gradually, it will decrease the symptoms.
Next time, be careful not to use any drug more than the prescribed period.
Wish you good health.
