Suggest Remedy For Lumpy Sores On Inside Gums During Pregnancy
I have sores on the inside gums where my wisdom teeth were. One side had a boney lump which I broke off, it got better but feels lumpy again. I'm 34 weeks pregnant, not whether to see OB, Dr or dentist (dentist said he'd have to stay mouth), I had a load of work done a month ago.
As per your query lumpy sores on inside gums during pregnancy can sometimes be seen during pregnancy for no specific reason. This is due to the increased vascular supply, thinned surfaces which can be traumatized easily. The hormonal changes of pregnancy make the tissues more susceptible to oral bacteria and lead to 'Pregnancy Gingivitis.' I would advise you to avoid any kind of dental treatment in pregnancy. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Brush twice daily and use antimicrobial mouth wash. There are only a few medicines which are found safe in pregnancy, so before taking any medication you should first consult your gynecologist and take care of any previously known allergies. Amoxicillin is considered safe during pregnancy but over use of any medicine should be prohibited in pregnancy.I would suggest you to consult dentist and get evaluated. Drink plenty of fluids and take multivitamins.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
