Suggest Remedy For Loose Stools

my stools have been very loose, when i pass gas i tend to spray, so every time i feel a little gas coming on i run to the restroom. it also seems that no matter what i eat, my stool is the same color and consistency, i am on day 3. help i am 32, 5'11", and approximately 440lbs. i recently, about 4 months ago, had diverticulitis.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Loose stools with gases and need to visit the bathroom over and again with spraying on passing gases is indicative that you have an intestinal infection.
You are already a known case of diverticulitis.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Tests of blood and stool.
A course of an antibiotic should help you along with Metronidazole and probiotics.
You have to take the diet as per the advise of a Dietitian and also observe whether any foods and beverages are causing you any problems and stop these altogether.
If there is no effect of the above, you should consult a Gastro-surgeon and go for the further investigations of colonoscopy, CT scan and other tests as may be needed.
