My 16month has stool that s a bit loose, tan in color and smells like vomit. She s eating fine and acting normal and no fever. She s had it since Friday 4/25 and poops 2-3 times a day. Just wondering if its a virus or something more serious. If it is a virus, how long til it passes. Thanks
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your 16 month old having a bit loose stools, tan in color, smells like vomit, eating fine and there is no fever. Wants to know whether viral or something more serious, if it is virus, how long till it passes off... The history provided by you seemingly indicates that the baby is having transition period, may be adjusting to any new goods or beverages that you might have added on recently. Another cause can be confirmed by a stool test, get one done and consult your PCP/Family Physician and get a reference for a Pediatrician if required. Watch out for any other changes.
