Suggest Remedy For Lack Of Control Of Head And Neck On 4 Month Old Child

I have a 4 month old grandson that does not have control of his head and neck, also his shoulder area is very soft feeling. He moves his arms from the elbow down and very little movement in is legs. he does hold his head up, but only for a few seconds. What could this be?

Hi...this is too early to comment that your grandson is having delayed development. But I put forth these possibilites with the minimal information I have got with me....
1. Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy.
2. Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
3. Myopathy.

Please bear in mind that these possibilities are being put forth only with the history pints you have mentioned and not after thorough clinical neurological examination. I suggest you consult your pediatrician for a thorough clinical neurological examination.
