Hi.my scalp is sensitive and itchy withfew weeks have tried loads of special shampoos for condition.told doctor got a shampoo and was fine but seems to be bbacon particular behind my ears.used a shampoo to make hair blonder with bleach ages ago and my scalp this way since.how do I cure this and how long does it take.thank you. I will keep a possibility of scalp seborrheic dermatitis. I would suggest you to use an OTC antifungal shampoo e.g Nizoral (contains 2% ketoconazole). You may use it every alternate days. Lather it well into the scalp and leave it on to act for 5-7 minutes before rinsing it off. This would take care of the seborrheic dermatitis, if it is mild. However, some patients are not completely relieved on just shampoo and may require to use a topical steroid lotion for a few weeks. Topical steroids are prescription products and therefore I would suggest that you visit a specialist if you condition is not totally relieved on antifungal shampoo.
