Suggest Remedy For Itching From Hives
Husband has had hives over six weeks. Hives are very large and hot. Urgent care has given shots on two visits. Shots last a few hours. Right now he has hives from inner thigh to his knee and half way around upper leg. Does not want to go back to doctor just to get a shot that only relives itching for a few hours. Is there anything to relieve the itching. He cannot sleep.

thank you for query.it is not clear about the age.You can give him antihistamines like levocetrizine in morning and hydroxyzine in the night.get him investigated for all infections and get treatment for it including dental infections.these subside if infection is treated.Also check for any food or drug allergies.You can get back directly to me for any clarifications with details and photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist.
