General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of in past in 1998 wherein there was infection and was operated or say explored 15 times, again had surgery on Jan 28th for reconstruction of the bowel and colon followed by emergency surgery on Feb 2nd as there was a small hole in the bowel. But resulted in wound infection.
All this history is suggestive of a wound infection.
I would advise you the following in such a situation.
First of all, get a sinogram to see how much is the depth of the sinus.
MRI of the abdominal wall will show the condition of the wound.
Secondly, the most important part is the position of your nutritional status.
Get the hemoglobin and protein level and get corrected along with the addition of multivitamins and minerals.
Such wounds do not heal up unless the foreign body in the form of sutures or dead necrotic tissue is not removed. Hence it is imperative to explore the wounds and the remove the things that are not normal will boost up the healing.
I find this answer helpful
