Suggest Remedy For Infection In Eyelids

Hello. I have an eye infection. The doctor believes it is bacterial and prescribed me a weeks worth of augmentin. If it is not gone by then, do I need more medication? It appears to be an eyelid infection but I also have sinus headaches with it. Thanks

HI

Thanks for posting your query.

Infection of eyelid if it were to be bacterial should have responded to Augmentin. So either it is not a bacterial infection or there might have occurred collection of pus underneath your eyelid.

If it is pus then it has to be drained out and a second course of antibiotic has to be started. I would recommend you to upload a picture of your infected eyelid so that I can see it and advise you much better.

Otherwise consult your doctor again.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
