Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Really sorry to hear that your child had a stroke .
Recovery after an episode of stroke depends on the extent of damage done in the brain responsible for movement of the limbs.
Physiotherapy is the only treatment available for the weak limb and is quiet effective when done by professionals. Response to therapy is also on individual basis . Some patients show complete recovery where some show partial .
Recovery in children is better then adults . Maximum revovery is with in first 6 months of stroke, after that its slower.
also children tend to have recurrent silent stroke depending on the cause which might be causing further weakness.
Your child has shown significant recovery and am sure he will be better in no time .

Hope you find this answer useful . Do let me know if you need any help.
good luck
