Suggest Remedy For Inconsistent Bowel Movements

I had to go in hospital for divertilus, I ve not been able to have normal bowel movement. I ve had colonogly normal had three polps.said I has diverlucus now. I ve was on one antibiotic after another started with ciprofoxan, then flagyl & levaquian it made me nausa changed to augmatin& Clindemycin they change to bactrimus then my doctor put me on Clindemycin . I got appt with gastro doc he said I may have retumcil & sent me to on doc he said it sound like adhesion do lapascopy & said I was in mess clean me up had it wrapped around colon in several places. I went back to him after no change . I can t have bowel movement without Milax I had a ultrasound to see blood flow of my intestines. Meanwhile I have no Change can t pass gas r have bowel movement without Milax. I Need help I was a. Healthy 64 year old female. I have been nausa & will have hot flashes & so weak. What do u suggest?

Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read the history carefully and understood your concerns.
Since colonoscopy had shown polypi and then diverticulitis the treatment you are taking with antibiotics will certainly help you.
The antibiotics kill all the bacteria in the intestines and hence the inability to produce and pas the gases as these too are killed or altered.
There is no problem in continuing the medication to clear the bowel.
Use the laxatives like Milax as you do not loose anything with it.
You may also try other suitable laxatives to be used for interchange.
