Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion .you may have an autoimune thyroid disease. This can be an explanation of your situation. Graves' disease and Hashimoto's thyroiditis are the two autoimmune spectrum of thyroid disease. Cases of conversion from hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism have been reported but conversion from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism is very rare.

-This change is difficult to understand but it is part of the autoimune thyroid disease.
-The pain in the opposite side of the thyroid ,is not related to the thyroid gland,in my opinion. It can be the sign of a local inflammation or infection. I suggest to consult physically your doctor for the right diagnosis. About your last question,i can say that there is not a remedy that can clear the thyroid. But the Radioactive iodine treatement (RAI) can be a solution for you. When RAI is taken up by the thyroid, the radioactive iodine destroys the thyroid cells. This therapy can used to destroy or ablate hyperactive thyroid cells in hyperthyroidism and can resolve your problem. My advice is to consulted a local endocrinologist and discuss with him what is the explanation of your thyroid condition, what is your diagnosis and what can be the best solution for this diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
