Suggest Remedy For High Fever

my child of six months having fever from last sunday. initially doctor has suggested crocin syrup then amoxicylin with crocin with no improvement in temperature which is hovering around 102 today doctor has suggested meftal after two hours of one shot of meftal till no improvement in temperature what to do now

You have also not mentioned whether the baby is still exclusively breast fed or whether he/she is feeding well. I would have also liked to know about the frequency of passing urine and whether there is cough. If you let me know these details, I would be able to help you better.

Most of such fevers are viral. Since you are already giving antibiotics, I would suggest you to wait and see if the fever comes down. If the baby is not feeding well, it might be better to hospitalise the child. Meftal contains Mefenamic Acid which is prescribed for stopping bleeding. Your details are not enough to estimate the source of bleeding that your doctor is suspecting.
