Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I had an emergency cesarean section 7 weeks ago and have been told I possibly have a small hernia but no one seems to be too concerned about it. It is not sore but can be uncomfortable at times. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it or how will it go back to nor All? I am 29 yrs old and weigh 9 1/2 St, height 5ft 4
A hernia can occur any time after the C-section. The following steps may reduce your risk of an incisional hernia after surgery: - Don't overexert yourself - Take steps to prevent and treat constipation to avoid straining - Seek treatment for any persistent cough.
If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see a surgeon for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
