Suggest Remedy For Hard Bowel Movements

Yes, thank you. I haven t had a bowel movement in a few days,( I don t always have one every day). My stomach has been hurting off and on for a couple of days. Today I felt fine I went to the store and was walking around a lot, and it really started not feeling to good. When I got home, I drank a bottle of magnesium phosphate . I drank the whole bottle about two or three o’clock our time. I still have not had any results, but now the pain has moved down to my lower stomach. I feel like I need to go but I don t.

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of hard stools and constipation, unable to pass motion every day. Now no Bowel movements for 3 days and felt not fine, came home took the whole bottle of magnesium phosphate. No results and the pain shifted to the lower abdomen.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Go to ER.
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
Saline-soap enema
See the results, repeat if required and be under observation as there can be obstruction and needs proper treatment.
Continue taking proper laxatives later on to avoid constipation and hard stools.
Avoid all the foods and beverages known to cause you hard stools.
Control your stress and anxiety and get checked if you have IBS-C (constipation).
