Suggest Remedy For Gum Infection From An Injury During Flossing

I flossed to hard and broke through gum skin and it got infected. Very painful. Now it has a small pus pocket. I have been using a saline solution and listerine and not eating. I've had it for two days. I am also on blood thinners which makes any injury worse I find. Should I pop it?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems that there is formation of a gum boil due to deeper impaction of bacteria into the gum crevice secondary to injury..

Nothing to worry consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can do a localized Scaling of the area of gums using hand scalers and not ultrasonic scalers to prevent bleeding as you are already on blood thinners.
Cleaning of the gums followed by application of gum paint can resolve..
Do not pop it as there can be secondary infection in the popped lesion and can be painful..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
