Suggest Remedy For Frequent Urination

Hello. I am a 55yo female with overactive bladder. I tried Detrol, Vesicare and Myrbetriq with no change to 8 time a night urination. My sister is taking Terazosin for HBP and as a result this is helping her overactive bladder. I asked my Urologist to let me tried it and a few days in I am only getting up once or twice. I read all the material and asked my MD but I can t find any research supporting Terazosin for female bladder issues. Can you shed any light on this topic. Thank You!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Let me explain about trazosin.
This is selective alpha 1 adrenergic blocker and is used for over active bladder . This drug is long acting and is used for other purposes then prostate .
So you can use 1 mg at bed time , increased at weekly intervals to 2-10 mg ( single dose ).

Actually this drug reduces the tone of the internal sphincter of the bladder , that's why it act on over active bladder.
Hope this will help you.
