Suggest Remedy For Fluctuation In Bp

Hello,My father had a heart attack 4 days back and still in ICU as his blood pressure is maintained by introducing some medicine. The doctor is not sounding optimistic. His worry is why the body is not able to sustain itself .Just to give you a back ground he had a heart attack 5 yrs back and was identified as having excess sugar in the blood.4 days back he started complaining of weakness at 8:00am and at 1:00pm or later was rushed tu the hospital. He was diagnosed at sugar level of 690 and with in couple of hours was operated and angiopllasty done. After the operation all other vital parameters are in control except BP. With in 2 seconds when the medicine is replaced the BP drops to 59.Today is 4th day and no improvement on this parameter. Please share you views. You may call me on 0091 0000.He takes a regular dosage of Bhang (Indian Thanks Vipin

Hello welcome to HCM.
My sympathy is with you regarding your problem.
But I think the treating doctors have done maximum until now what they can do.
After 2 major heart attacks and even more significant is immediately after a heart attack, heart's pumping capacity will be very low to maintain normal blood pressure.
In that scenario we have to administer drugs to improve heart function and blood pressure, but they also have limits.

My advice to you is

1.keep faith on treating docs. They are doing maximum. Only other added treatment is IABP(intra aortic balloon counterpulsation) therapy. It's costly but effective in maintaining blood pressure. Ask your doctor about it.

2 . The pumping capacity of heart will improve after 1-2 months of attack somewhat. So it's of paramount importance that he survives first month.

3.Diabetic control is very important during heart attack. I am sure your doc will keep that in mind.
Thank you.
May God bring better tomorrow.
