Hello,

Your son has fever with cough. You have started him on paracetamol and an antibiotic cephalexin. It could be a viral infection which will go in a week's time and antibiotics will not cure the fever. Or he could be having a bacterial throat or lung infection which is not responding to cephalexin and in that case he needs to be started on a new antibiotic. You should get your son evaluated by a paediatrician to differentiate between viral or bacterial infection.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Preeti
