Suggest Remedy For Excessive Ingrown Hair Growth On Back And Face

Good Evening. Im suffering from what began as excessive facial hair growth since July 2013. It was very mild and not problematic initially. However it has now lead to painful excessive ingrown hair on my face. with warm compress and keeping the sites bacteria free the flares ups were greatly reduced. however, with in the past week the problem had spread to mid back. the his growth is so rapid accompanied by coarse unruly hairs I m in constant pain. i do not remove the hairs as i do not want to damage the follicle. i try to gently massage the hairs form beneath the skin. even still the skin regenerates at a rate that traps the hair beneath several layers of skin. by that time several hair have are imbed below the skin. i had switched to soy milk last july due to lactose allergies. i noticed the problem worsened around the time I discontinued getting depro vera and refrained from taking birth control It is very gross to look at i know it may sound trivial and should be the least of my concerns. i am also suffering from inflammation in the joints of my right thumb and had severe plaque psoriasis as a child. I do not take any medications prescribed or otherwise except a women s multi vitamin supplement. I was tested for possible thyroid disease several years ago results were negative. I need to get established with a new doctor, but am unsure which type of Dr. to see first. please advise. Thank you kindly for your help. I appreciate your time and care. Warmest Regards, Jenee

Hello,

For ingrown hair I suggest you to avoid close shaving. Instead, use a trimmer. Another option is to get a laser for hair reduction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
