Reactive airways disease usually occurs after exposure of your airways to a strong irritant. It often resolves, although this may take a lot of time. Smoking is a well-known irritant that will only make your symptoms worse unfortunately. I would strongly advise quitting completely and never looking back. You may need an inhaler to help counteract the irritation of your airways and thus improve your symptoms.
I hope you feel better
