Suggest Remedy For Ear Problem

Hi, my name is mashuk and I am 48 years old. I have problem in my right ear since last couple of months, It seem like echo sound such as car horne, water drop, shouting etc. makes me very much irritating. Also feeling very much uncomfortable while talking over phone. I went to the Ent Specialist he prescribe me antibiotics and nasal drop but that does not work at all. Now a days I am having pain too right below my said ear. Could you please suggest me what to do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of irritation with echo like sound in right ear for the last couple of months, consulted an ENT Surgeon who gave antibiotic and nasal drops but no relief.
The commonest causes I can think about for such symptoms are one of the following that can be known by consulting the ENT Surgeon again or having second opinion of another ENT Surgeon to get a proper diagnosis.
Fluid with inflammation of the middle and inner ear wherein the ear bones and the machine called cochlea with which we perceive the sound waves.
Dysfunction of the Eustachian tube.
Small muscles inside the ear drum dysfunction is a known reason but usually missed.
Any vascular anomaly.
Hypertension.
Drug induced like Lasilactone.
As said earlier take another opinion and discuss these points to get the following tests:
MRI of brain, the vestibulocochlear nerve, and all structures of ears.
Audiometry.
Endoscopy of ENT.
All these will give a proper diagnosis and you will get a proper management as per the cause found.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
