Suggest Remedy For Dry Skin On The Inner Thigh

Hi Doctor, I noticed yesterday a small, round, red circle of what appears to be dry skin on my inner thigh, just above my knee. It doesn t scratch or hurt in any way. I just wanted to make sure it s nothing. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of dry skin on the inner thigh which seems contact dermatitis and heat rash. I would suggest you to:
- Wash thigh area with cold water
- Wear loose cotton clothes and avoid wearing tight clothes
- Apply cold compresses 2-3 times a day
- Take antihistamine drug like benadryl
- Apply vitamin C serum at night.

If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe steroid ointment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
